Cover Drive
Cover Drive are a Barbados group active from 2010 to 2018. The lineup consists of Amanda Reifer, T-Ray Armstrong, Barry Hill and Jamar Harding. The group performs with both male and female vocals and is associated with R&B, hip-hop and reggae fusion.
Career
The band builds its profile in the United Kingdom and signs to Global Talent, a division of Polydor Records. One of its early breaks comes from appearing as an opening act on Rihanna’s Loud Tour. Cover Drive also appears in promotions for the Barbados Tourism Authority, the government’s international tourism-marketing agency.
Releases and recognition
Cover Drive is best known for featuring on Far East Movement’s hit single “Turn Up the Love”. Its debut album, Bajan Style, reaches number 14 in the United Kingdom.
