Control Is Dead

Control Is Dead are a five-piece band from Keighley and Bradford in West Yorkshire. The group forms in 2010, after an earlier version of the project starts in 2008/09 with Aaron Hetherington, Danny Longley and Jamie Brannan. Hetherington moves from lead vocals to guitar, while Longley plays guitar and Brannan plays drums.

The band develops from local gigging and writing material that remains part of its set. After the original bassist leaves, Dan Hyde joins on bass, and Antony Arcuri completes the line-up, giving the group its five-piece format. Control Is Dead are associated with catchy hooks, forceful verses and instrumental work, and they play live in West Yorkshire and beyond. They also work in the studio with Dave Lawson on material for their first EP, Boulevards To Battlefields.
