Conjurer

Conjurer are a US metal group from Indianapolis. The band is active from 2010 and has Brian Wyrick as a member.

Style and influences

Their music is described as drawing on doom metal, drone, drone metal, post-metal and sludge metal, alongside metal and metalcore. The band combines heaviness and atmosphere with an aggressive edge, and their sound is also associated with death metal, black metal and mathcore elements.

Background

Conjurer develops a reputation in their local scene through support slots with Hang the Bastard, Celeste, The Sword and Gurt, then performs across the UK with Primitive Man, The Great Old Ones, Oathbreaker, OHHMS and Bossk.

The group signs to Holy Roar Records in 2016 and releases its debut EP in July of that year. The album Unself follows later in their career.
