Club of Rome
Club of Rome is a Chicago band active in the mid-1980s. The name is also used for several other unrelated acts in the record: an Australian punk and post-punk group, an experimental and electro-acoustic ambient project by Asmus Tietchens, and a North East London group working in post-rock territory in the early 21st century.
Australian punk and post-punk group
One version of Club of Rome is an Australian punk and post-punk band. It issues a cassette called Club of Rome in 1980 and the Jesus Wouldn't Like It / Germany 7-inch single in 1983. This group is compared loosely to UK Decay.
Asmus Tietchens project
Club of Rome is also the name of an experimental, electro-acoustic and ambient project by Asmus Tietchens. This project releases the cassette Große Statik in 1985 on ADN Records.
North East London group
A third Club of Rome is a North East London-based group operating in the early 21st century in roughly post-rock territory.
