Cher Lloyd

Cher Lloyd is an English singer and rapper from Malvern, United Kingdom, working in pop, pop rap and teen pop. Born in 1993, she rises to prominence through the reality series The X Factor and is associated with the 2010 finalists from the programme.

Career

After reaching the final of The X Factor, Lloyd signs to Syco Music. Her debut single, Swagger Jagger, reaches number one on the UK Singles Chart. Her first album, Sticks + Stones, follows, and her second studio album, Sorry I'm Late, later reaches number 12 on the US Billboard 200.

Songwriter Autumn Rowe and producer RedOne work on her debut album. In 2014, Universal Music Group announces that it signs her to a new deal. She is also reported to be working on a third studio album.

Television and live performances

Lloyd auditions for The X Factor twice before her successful appearance in 2010, and she performs a rap version of “Viva La Vida” at bootcamp. She appears in the live shows with performances of “Just Be Good to Me”, “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)”, “Stay”, and “Imagine”. She also performs at T4 on the Beach, Leeds Aire FM Party in the Park, and Key 103 Live Manchester.
