Capitals

Capitals is an Edinburgh-based electro-pop duo made up of Angus Carbarns and Keir MacCulloch. Both members are originally from Inverness, or the surrounding area, and they draw on earlier musical work in other projects: MacCulloch releases electronic music under the name Araya, while Carbarns has played in Theatre Fall and The Cinematics.

The duo works with a blend of wistful melodies, lyric-driven songwriting and a mix of acoustic and electronic sounds. Their material is described as combining atmospheric qualities with a punchier edge, and at the time of that description they have not yet issued a release or played a live show.
