Brennan Heart

Brennan Heart is the performance name of Fabian Bohn, a Dutch electronic and hardstyle DJ and producer born in 1982. He becomes interested in electronic music at 14 and learns studio technique and production over the next few years. At 18, EMI Music offers him a contract, which leads him into the music business as a full-time producer.

Production and labels

In 2001, he is offered the chance to start his own label and take part in its creative direction. He works across a range of styles including hardstyle, techno, hardtrance and techtrance, and many of these recordings appear under side-project names. These include Blademasterz, Unknown Analoq, Superwave, Bassdriver, Orion’s Voice, Misdome Project, Shoplifter and Meredith.

He also co-produces frequently with DJ Montana from Blackhole, and works with other producers on remixes and collaborations. Artists named in connection with these remixes include The Horrorist, Philippe Rochard, Zemtec, Technoboy, Deepack, The Prophet and Duro. One of his later productions is made with The Prophet, and additional coalitions are formed in 2006.

DJ career

As a DJ, Brennan Heart plays internationally at events and venues including Hardbass, Defqon 1, Q-Base, X-Qlusive, Qlubtempo, Audio Attack, Outland, Matrixx, Impulz Outdoor, Frequence and Metropolis in France, as well as Oxa in Switzerland, The Mission in Chicago, Club Matrix in Ireland, Room @ The Top in Scotland, Baya Beach Club in Curaçao, New Bambu and Goliath in Germany, and Klub Kaos in the UK. He is known for aiming to bring an original sound to each set.

His work centres on energetic electronic music, with hardstyle as a main focus. He also uses a number of aliases and project names for different productions. He is associated with the names Brennan & Heart and 2nd Area, and his labels include Midify and Midify Digital.
