BB BlackDog is a rock band formed as a joint project between Derbyshire in England and Lübeck in Germany. The group consists of Sven Bruel and Molly May Hooper on rhythm bass, Dale Rowles on lead bass and vocals, and Axel Boldt on drums. It uses a stripped-back line-up with no guitars, two basses and one drum kit, and records without overdubs.

The band mixes German and English members and plays simple, catchy music. It has built a large live profile, with more than 600 performances, 76 original songs, showcases in Hamburg, Berlin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Las Vegas, Denver, London and Birmingham, and tours across two continents. BB BlackDog appears at numerous festivals, including Bearded Theory, The Rock and Blues, Sonic Rock Solstice, CockRock, Whitby Goth Festival, Leipzig Goth Festival and Boulder Festival.

The group remains independent and has a loyal following. Its style sits across rock, stoner rock and psychedelic music.
