Basement

Basement are an English band from Ipswich, Suffolk, formed in 2009 and active from 2009 to the present. The group consists of Andrew Fisher and Alex Henery, along with Duncan, James and Ronan. Their music is associated with alternative rock, emo, melodic hardcore, pop punk, post-grunge, hardcore punk and hardcore.

Releases and label

Basement sign to Run For Cover Records. Their recorded output includes a 2009 demo, the EP Songs About The Weather and four albums: I Wish I Could Stay Here, Colourmeinkindness, Promise Everything and Beside Myself.

Band activity

After the tour for This is Goodbye, the band goes on hiatus because of personal commitments, and its last sold-out shows take place in Leeds and London in November 2012. The group later returns with a statement in January 2014 announcing live shows for that summer.
