Artmagic

Artmagic is a London-based group formed by Richard Oakes and Sean McGhee. The project begins in 2008 and continues to operate with Oakes and McGhee as the core members.

Members and roles

Richard Oakes plays guitars, bass, piano and keyboards. Sean McGhee provides voice, synthesizers and programming. Oakes also performs with Suede and co-writes some of the band’s best-known singles. McGhee works as a producer and vocalist.

Background and work

The group works in alt-pop and pop. McGhee has contributed to recordings by Britney Spears, Sugababes, Robyn, Kate Havnevik, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou and Temposhark, among others. Artmagic’s debut EP is I Keep On Walking, issued as a download and in a limited deluxe digipack CD edition with artwork by Peter James Field.
