Antemasque

Antemasque is an American rock group formed in 2014 by Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, both formerly of At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta. The group works in alternative rock, progressive rock and rock, and is active from 2014 to the present.

The first Antemasque album features Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers on bass and Dave Elitch on drums. Both musicians have previously played with The Mars Volta. Marfred Rodríguez-López, Omar Rodríguez-López’s brother and a former member of Zechs Marquise, later joins as the band’s permanent bassist, while Travis Barker of Blink-182 takes over drumming duties. The group’s line-up also includes David Elitch.
