Andy Whitby

Andy Whitby is a British DJ and producer associated with hard house, hard trance, hard nrg and bounce. He becomes known for high-energy sets that use three-deck mixing, layered effects, chops, loops and acapellas, alongside strong vocals and heavy basslines.

Career

Over the last decade, Whitby builds a profile through club performances and production work, including sell-out tours in the UK, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Russia and Spain. He is also connected with numerous best-selling Ministry of Sound Euphoria albums, which contribute to his standing in hard dance.

His releases include Hardhouse Slut, Mindblowing, Rock It, Until The Grave, Bass So Loud, Money Maker and Fresh Tactics. These cover both earlier tracks and later dancefloor-oriented productions.

Awards and media work

Whitby wins Best DJ, Best Resident and Best Album multiple times at Trackitdown.net’s Hard Dance Awards. He also takes on the role of Hard Dance Music Editor for Mixmag, where he reviews new hard dance tracks and albums.

Projects and brands

He launches the AWsum brand, which is known for events at Ministry of Sound, Air in Birmingham and Hidden in London. He later introduces HARD, a brand that includes WE LOVE IT HARD events, a record label and the clubbing group TEAM HARD.
