Alice Faye is an American actress and singer from New York, United States. Born in 1915 and dying in 1998, she is remembered for her work in film and music and for her later radio comedy partnership with her second husband, bandleader-comedian Phil Harris.
She first gains attention as a star at 20th Century Fox, where her career is also marked by a feud. After her film work, she appears on radio alongside Harris, combining comedy and music. She is associated with the 1940s era, swing, jazz and jazz vocal styles.
The name also belongs to a British singer-songwriter from Glasgow, but the American performer is the better-known figure linked to this entry.
