Agnes Nunes
Agnes Nunes is a Brazilian singer from Bahia and Rio de Janeiro whose work moves between MPB, forró and blues. She is born in Feira de Santana, Bahia, and raised in Campina Grande, Paraíba.
Her music draws on a wide set of influences, including Aretha Franklin, Elza Soares, Nina Simone, Jorge Ben, Queen and Mayra Andrade. Across five years of her career, she releases more than 30 songs.
Nunes wins a Golden Lion at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity and the Young Brazilian Award. Her song Última dança, from the album Menina Mulher, becomes the main character's theme in a Globo prime time soap opera in 2024. She also has more than 2.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 100 million views on YouTube.
