Afrojack is the stage name of Nick van de Wall, a Dutch DJ and producer from Spijkenisse, Netherlands. He is born in 1987 and works in house and related electronic styles, including big room house, dance-pop, dutch house, electro house and electronic music.

Career

Afrojack starts his own label, Wall Recordings, in 2007. That label becomes associated with releases including Don’t Be, Proper Introduction and Thief. He builds a profile as a producer through collaborations with international artists including David Guetta, Diplo, Kid Cudi, Laidback Luke and Steve Angello.

Releases and chart activity

He returns to club releases in 2008 with Math and Do My Dance, both of which receive strong support from major names in the scene. His remix with The Partysquad, Drop Down (do my dance), becomes his first hit in the Dutch charts in 2008. He also works with Eva Simons on Take Over Control.
