A Day's Work

A Day's Work is a Dutch art rock and progressive rock group fronted by singer Paul Glandorf. Glandorf is noted for his warm, bright voice and expressive stage presence. The band earns praise for energetic live performances and has opened for Snow Patrol, Racoon, Golden Earring, Riverside and Living Colour. Marillion also invites the group to tour Europe.

Releases

The band debuts with the CD Above and Within in 2002, then releases the EP Drowning in what I believe in 2004. In 2006 it issues the album A Home in the Rain, which receives strong responses from media and audiences. The later EP Remember The Unknown follows and contains five rock songs combining catchy melodies with a new-wave influence. It is recorded, mixed and mastered by Jochem Jacobs at Split Second Sound Studio in Amsterdam.

Reception

Reviews describe A Home in the Rain as original and inventive, with praise for its singing and guitar and drum work. One review calls it a masterpiece. At the finals of the Westfriese Popprijs, Johannes de Boom of The Shavers says Paul Glandorf is a possible candidate for a Silver Harp award for best singer.
