7 Weeks is a French metal and stoner-rock group from Limoges, France. It forms in 2006 and is active from then to the present. The group’s members are Nicolas Aigrot, Julien Bernard, Jérémy Cantin-Gaucher and Manu Costa.

Style and sound

The band is associated with stoner rock, stoner, rock, metal and stoner metal. Its sound is described in relation to other guitar-based rock and metal acts, with references to Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam. The group’s English-language vocals are notable for sounding natural for a French band.

Recording

One of the band’s recognised recordings is All Channels Off, with tracks including “All Channels Off”, “Loaded (Burnt)” and “Submarine”. The first two are linked to a Queens of the Stone Age-influenced approach, while “Submarine” shifts towards a Pearl Jam-like feel without losing the band’s own identity.
