About State Fayre

After drawing more than 50,000 people across its first three days, State Fayre 2027 returns to Hylands Park, Chelmsford, England as a rock, country, folk and Americana music festival.

The event began in 2026 at the same Essex site. Its next edition runs 18–20 June 2027.

Lineup and Programme

The bill leans into Americana with rock, country and folk in the frame. The Main Stage is the only named stage in the verified site information.

Beyond live music, the programme covers BBQ food culture, family-friendly entertainment, festival rides and activities. VIP access includes a bar and chill-out area plus the Main Stage Grandstand.

Who Is It For?

State Fayre is all ages, with family-friendly camping built into the format. Under-16s must attend with an adult ticket holder aged 18 or over who remains on site.

Ticketing splits ages into Adult for 16+, Teen for 13–15 and Child for 3–12; under-3s go free. Organisers advise that the festival is not suitable for young children, and Challenge 21 applies for alcohol service.

The Venue and Site

Hylands Park sits within Hylands Estate, a 574-acre Grade II* listed public park in Chelmsford. The camping setup covers weekend camping and early entry camping, with campervan/caravan passes sold separately.

Pink Moon boutique camping uses Asher’s Acres and Freddie’s Fields. Site facilities include cashless food, drinks and merchandise, a Wellbeing Tent and lockers planned for 2027.

Travel to State Fayre

Hylands Park is on the Chelmsford side of Essex, with Chelmsford Station the nearest rail stop.

• Rail: Chelmsford Station is the nearest station and sits about a 10-minute drive from the site.
• Road: Access routes include the Greenbury Road / Greenbury Way entrance, London Road entrance and A414 / Greenbury Way access road.
• Motorway: From the M25, the signed route uses Junction 28 to the A12, then A12 Junction 15 to the A414 dual carriageway towards Chelmsford.
• Parking: Separate festival car park passes are priced at £40. Hylands Estate also has London Road, Writtle and The Stables Visitor Centre car parks.
• Road distances: Colchester is about 40 minutes by road; central London is about 90 minutes by road.
