About St Mary's Chambers Country Fest
St Mary's Chambers began as a Methodist Free Church on Haslingden Road in 1856. For 2027, St Mary's Chambers Country Fest is scheduled there on 2 May 2027, with Country and Americana at the centre of the music. The Blackburn venue is an indoor live-music room rather than an outdoor festival site.
The building was completed in 1857 under the name Haslingden Road United Methodist Church. Its last service took place in 1939, and the venue relaunched as St Mary's Chambers in 2016.
Who Is It For?
The bill is aimed at Country and Americana fans. A previous Country Fest edition ran as 16+, with under-18s accompanied by an adult, so the crowd points more toward an adult gig audience than a family field festival.
It is a small-room event. Capacity runs to 300 standing, or 150 seated theatre style, which puts it closer to a club show than a multi-arena weekend.
The Venue and Site
St Mary's Chambers is a Grade II listed Victorian conversion with a main room, licensed bar and in-house catering options. The room also has professional concert PA and lighting.
VIP booths sit on a balcony overlooking the main room. The cabaret-style layout is around 150 seated, with a further 35 spaces in VIP booths.
