After a sold-out 2026 launch, Soul Disco Society 2027 returns to Beacon Park, Lichfield as an 18+ music festival centred on house, soul and disco.

The format is daytime DJ sets and dancing, with a stated capacity of 10,000. It started in 2026. The listed date is Saturday 17 July 2027.

Who Is It For?

The music leans toward adult soul, disco and house fans rather than a family crowd. Entry is 18+ only, and alcohol sales operate under Challenge 25.

Skiddle frames the audience around dancing and connection, with community-led programming rather than a large multi-stage format. The 18+ policy applies across the event.

The Venue and Site

Beacon Park is an outdoor park site with a main entrance off Bird Street and accessible paths across the park. No overnight camping.

Facilities named for the event include free water points plus vegetarian and gluten-free food options. VIP access adds queue jump and a private area. Its facilities include a dedicated bar, luxury toilets and an elevated viewing platform.

Travel

Beacon Park sits in Lichfield, with the main entrance off Bird Street. The city is about 14 miles north of Birmingham.

• Rail: Lichfield City Station is around five minutes’ walk from the park; Lichfield Trent Valley Station also serves the city.
• Road: Local access includes Bird Street, the A51 bypass and Birmingham Road.
• Parking: Three council pay-and-display car parks sit on the park perimeter at Bunkers Hill off Lower Sandford Street, Shaw Lane and Greenhough Road.
• Accessibility: Disabled bays are available in all three perimeter car parks, and accessible paths run across the park.
• Coach drop-off: Bird Street is the listed coach drop-off point.
