About Other Voices - Derry
Other Voices - Derry 2026 returns to Londonderry as an indie-pop, indie rock, Americana, blues and traditional music event after more than ten years away from the city.
The first Derry/Londonderry edition ran in 2013 during the City of Culture programme. It came back in 2014, with The Glassworks used as a filming venue and the Music Trail and Banter Salon among the programme strands.
The 2026 edition runs on 25-26 September as part of Other Voices’ 25th anniversary celebrations. A separate opening concert by Martin Hayes & Brian Donnellan is scheduled for 24 September 2026 at The Guildhall.
Lineup and Programme
St Columb’s Hall anchors the filmed performance strand. Music Trail venues run across the city, while Soundings takes talks and discussion to The Playhouse.
Announced acts include Kate Nash, Bleech 9:3, Muireann Bradley and Westside Cowboy. The bill spans indie-pop, indie rock, Americana, blues and traditional music.
St Columb’s Hall performances are free to attend through a golden-ticket draw and are streamed worldwide on the Other Voices YouTube channel. Music Trail weekend wristbands cover city-wide shows and Soundings, with wristbands priced at £60 plus booking fees.
Who Is It For?
The audience is framed around music and culture: intimate filmed sets, venue-hopping on the Music Trail, livestream viewing and discussion events.
St Columb’s Hall lists baby changing among its facilities. The verified event data does not give an age policy.
The Venue and Site
St Columb’s Hall sits on Orchard Street on the East Wall of the city walls. The building is Grade A listed, dates to 1886 and has spaces catering for 50-800 people.
Facilities at St Columb’s Hall include a tea-room/cafe, toilets, Wi-Fi, baby changing and guided tours. The wider site extends into Music Trail venues across Derry and Soundings at The Playhouse.
