About Louder Than War
After its 2026 debut, Louder Than War 2027 returns to Manchester Academy 2, Academy 3 and Club Academy, Manchester as an alternative music festival. It runs on Saturday 13 March 2027, with doors listed at 2pm. General Admission is priced at £54.95.
The festival was first announced in September 2025 as the first Louder Than War festival, with the organiser stating an intention for it to run annually. The debut edition took place in Manchester across three stages on 14 March 2026.
Lineup and Programme
The bill is built around alternative music, taking in indie, post-punk, psychedelia, noise-rock, goth and punk. Announced acts include The Wedding Present, Demob Happy, King No-One, thistle., BICURIOUS, JOOLS, Freya Beer, Ishango Bone, [slab] and Versaints.
The programme runs across Academy 2, Academy 3 and Club Academy. Three indoor stages sit within one building, with live sets, room-to-room stage-hopping and merchandise tables forming the event setup.
Who Is It For?
The audience is framed around different generations of alternative music and discovery. That means established indie listeners sit alongside newer underground audiences across the same bill.
The event is listed as all ages. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and the venue notes that under-8s should have hearing protection.
