Louder Than War is an indoor alternative music festival in Manchester, running across three rooms at the Manchester Academy venues with an approximate standing capacity of 3,765.
The festival is built around discovery across alternative music strands including indie, post-punk, psychedelia, noise-rock, goth and punk. Its audience spans established indie listeners and newer underground crowds.
The site uses Academy 2, Academy 3 and Club Academy inside the University of Manchester Students’ Union building on Oxford Road, making room-to-room stage-hopping part of the format.
