About Liverpool International Jazz Festival

Established by Liverpool Hope University in 2013, Liverpool International Jazz Festival 2027 runs at The Capstone Theatre, Liverpool as a contemporary instrumental jazz festival.

The scale is theatre-sized. The Capstone Theatre’s maximum capacity is 272 seats, including two boxes. The 2027 dates are 25 to 28 February.

The festival is aimed at listeners for contemporary instrumental jazz and related cross-genre programming. Its stated focus includes international artists and music crossing genres and cross-genres.

The Capstone Theatre sits on Liverpool Hope University’s Creative Campus at 17 Shaw Street, Liverpool L6 1HP. The venue is fully accessible and has an induction loop system.

A venue bar normally operates before performances, with Café 1846 and other campus catering nearby on the Creative Campus. Seating may be reserved or unreserved depending on the event.

• Parking: Limited on-site parking is available from 40 minutes before evening performances on a first-come, first-served basis, with Q-Park Royal Liverpool on Epworth Street listed as the nearby alternative.
