About Hampton Court Palace Festival
Hampton Court Palace gives this festival its frame: Base Court, East Front Gardens and the wider palace grounds in East Molesey. For 2027, Hampton Court Palace Festival runs from 15 to 27 June as a music festival at Hampton Court Palace, Surrey. It first took place in 1993.
The format is seated. Base Court holds 3,000 seats per night, putting the main stage inside a royal-palace courtyard rather than a standard outdoor arena.
Lineup and Programme
Announced acts include Robert Plant with Saving Grace and Suzi Dian, Alison Moyet, The Corrs and Kaiser Chiefs. The bill takes in roots music, pop rock, Celtic influences and indie rock.
Music runs on the Base Court main stage. Before the concert, the East Front Gardens take the early-evening traffic for drinks, street food and picnic time, with optional King’s VIP Dining Experience, Queen’s Garden enclosure and Fountain-side Pergola add-ons.
In 2024, the programme added a live podcast for the first time, with The Rest Is History taking part.
Who Is It For?
This is a seated concert crowd. The set-up leans toward a premium evening format, with reserved seats and pre-concert garden time rather than camping or a multi-stage field.
Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The event is not appropriate for babies and children, and some events may carry additional age restrictions.
The Venue and Site
Base Court sits inside Hampton Court Palace, with the East Front Gardens used before the show. The wider site includes 750 acres of historic parkland and 60 acres of formal gardens.
Facilities include street food stalls, a full-service bar and a complimentary picnic cloakroom. Toilets are in the East Front Gardens and at the rear of Base Court, with a step-free route from the Palace Gardens to Palace Courtyard, accessible seating and a wheelchair platform.
