Camp Bestival Dorset

About Camp Bestival

At Lulworth Castle, Dorset, Camp Bestival 2027 runs as a family-first music festival from 29 July to 1 August 2027.

The event began at Lulworth Castle in 2008. In 2026 it marked its 18th year and reported 30,000 attendees over four days, with organisers describing it as a family camping holiday or festi-holiday.

Official history pages list six UK Festival Awards wins for Best Family Festival, the most recent in 2019, and a Silver award from Attitude Is Everything in 2023.

Lineup and Programme

The 2027 programme uses named spaces across the site, led by the Castle Stage as the main outdoor stage. The bill covers pop, indie rock, dance/electronic and drum & bass, with comedy and family entertainment also listed.

The Big Top handles music, comedy and silent discos. Caravanserai is billed as a festival-within-a-festival, while Bollywood and Pig's Big Ballroom are named venues on the site.

Away from stage times, the programme includes theatre and circus, arts and crafts, workshops, sports and outdoor adventures, plus wellbeing, yoga and relaxation activities.

Who Is It For?

The audience is family-first and multigenerational. Organisers state the festival is designed for families, with activity and entertainment planned from babes in arms to teens.

Under-18 ticket holders can enter only with a parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian. Ages 10-12 and 13-17 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult, with extra adult-age rules for the 10-14 and 15-17 bands.

Challenge 25 applies for alcohol.
