About Beyond The Woods

Beyond The Woods began at Hazlewood Castle in 2025, when its debut edition sold out before the event. For 2027 it runs on 29-30 May at a secret Leeds location, moving into a two-day underground electronic music festival. Capacity sits at approximately 2,500, with the same scale spread across two days.

Small by festival standards. The format is built around underground dance music, woodland spaces and a boutique layout rather than a large arena-style festival.

Lineup and Programme

The bill leans into disco, house, minimal, tech house and techno. Music runs across the Amphitheatre, Treehouse, Maze and Disco Tipi.

Away from the decks, the programme includes wellness and chill-out areas, site-specific installations and interactive art. Independent traders sit alongside the bars and food zones.

Who Is It For?

This is an 18+ only festival. The crowd is adult and club-focused, with the weekend shaped around intimate underground house, techno and disco rather than a family festival format.

The art and wellness elements also point beyond a straight dance-tent setup. Chill-out spaces are part of the site.

The Venue and Site

The 2027 site moves to a new Leeds location and closer to where the festival began. It keeps a woodland setting close to the city, with stages and art-led spaces worked into the layout.

Facilities include bars, food zones, lockers, water refill points and first aid stations. Site-specific installations, interactive art and independent traders are part of the arena.

The venue is Secret Location Leeds, with access around the Burley Park and Headingley area.
