Zubzub

Zubzub is a United Kingdom electronic group active since 2002. It is led by Zia, a former bass player in Ozric Tentacles, and works in a blend of psychedelic music and heavy rhythm, with tags including drum and bass, psybreaks, psychedelic drum and bass and electronic.

Line-up and collaborators

The live line-up includes Joie of Eat Static on synths, Jumping Jon, formerly of Ozrics, on flutes, Alex Pym on live guitar, and Mindflux on percussion and additional synths. The group also uses guest musicians in live performances and recordings.

Style

Zubzub’s music combines psy-techno, jungle, dub, breakbeats and spacious atmospheric sections. The group is described as a fusion of psychedelia and driving beats.
