ZICO

ZICO is the stage name of Woo Ji Ho, a South Korean rapper from Mapo District, South Korea, born in 1992. He is the leader of Block B and is also a member of the R&B and hip-hop crew FANXY CHILD. He works across hip hop, K-pop and pop rap, and also acts as a record producer in both K-pop and Korean hip hop.

Career

Before debuting with Block B in 2011, ZICO releases a solo mixtape titled ZICO on the Block in 2010. He follows it with ZICO on the Block 1.5, an EP released in 2012. In 2016, he forms FANXY CHILD. In 2019, he releases his first full-length solo album, THINKING Part.1.

Style and standing

ZICO is noted for moving between underground Korean hip hop and mainstream idol music while keeping a strong reputation in both areas. He remains active as a rapper, producer and group leader.
