Zara Larsson

Zara Larsson is a Swedish singer-songwriter and actress from Solna municipality, Sweden. Born in 1997, she first gains national attention in 2008 after winning the second season of Talang, the Swedish version of the Got Talent format.

Early career and breakthrough

Larsson signs with TEN Music Group in 2012 and releases her debut EP, Introducing, in 2013. The EP includes “Uncover,” which reaches number one in Scandinavia and earns six-times platinum certification in Sweden. Her debut album, 1, follows in 2014, and she later signs with Epic Records in the United States for international release and promotion.

International success

Her second studio album, So Good, arrives in 2017 and becomes her international breakthrough. It includes “Lush Life,” which reaches No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as “Never Forget You” with MNEK, “Girls Like” with Tinie Tempah, “Ain’t My Fault,” and “I Would Like.” The album combines electropop with assertive lyrics, sells more than a million copies worldwide, and tops charts across Europe while earning platinum certifications in several countries.

Later albums and collaborations

Poster Girl, her third studio album, follows in 2021. It features “Love Me Land,” co-written with Nisha, “Talk About Love” featuring Young Thug, and “Ruin My Life,” and it debuts at No. 4 in Sweden. Her fourth album, Venus, is released in 2024 and includes “Can’t Tame Her,” “On My Love” with David Guetta, and “You Love Who You Love.” “On My Love” reaches the top 10 in more than 20 countries.

Her fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, is released in 2025 via Sommer House and Epic Records. It includes “Blue Moon,” “Girl’s Girl,” “Hot & Sexy,” “The Ambition,” “Saturn’s Return,” and “Puss Puss.” The album reaches No. 1 in Sweden, No. 10 in Norway, No. 3 on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and No. 119 on the Billboard 200. “Midnight Sun” and “Lush Life” later reappear on charts following viral dance trends, and “Stateside,” a collaboration with PinkPantheress, reaches the top 50 in Sweden and the UK.

Screen work and touring

Larsson also appears in the 2024 film A Part of You. In 2025, she supports Tate McRae on the Miss Possessive Tour before beginning her own Midnight Sun Tour, which continues into 2026.
