Yvette Young is an American musician from San Jose, California. She is the front-woman for the math rock band Covet, and her listed genres also include alternative rock, art rock, indie rock and progressive rock.

She begins posting videos of herself playing music in 2009, and goes on to graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her solo releases include the Acoustics EP in 2014, a split EP with Natalie Evans in 2015, and Acoustics EP 2 in 2017.

Alongside music, Young creates illustration and art, including work on her own guitars. One of her paintings appears on the cover of Covet’s album Technicolor. She plays two Ibanez Talman Prestige guitars with Seymour Duncan Five-Two single-coil pickups and custom sparkle finishes, as well as a 7-string, fanned-fret Strandberg that she paints herself. She uses Vox AC amplifiers, with an AC30 as her touring amp. During NAMM 2020, Ibanez announces her signature model, the YY10, a Strat-style Talman.
