Your Army

Your Army is a British indie rock group formed in 2007. The line-up features Lucy Caffrey on vocals, Chris Skelly on guitar, Andy Hollick on drums and Simon Key on bass. The band is based around a live-oriented sound and is described as combining energetic performance with a credible, urban edge.

Live activity and early profile

The group builds its reputation through live shows and plays numerous headline dates. It appears at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2009 and 2010, and also supports established acts including Feeder and We Are Scientists, which helps bring it wider attention.

Recordings and release history

In 2011, Your Army signs with Intono Records to record its debut album. The album, Ignite, is produced by Ace, guitarist and founding member of Skunk Anansie, and is recorded and mixed by Willi Dammeier at the Institut für Wohlklangforschung in Germany. The band’s first single is “No Good”, and Ignite follows as its debut album.
