Wino

Wino is the project name used by Scott Weinrich, an American doom metal musician from Rockville, United States, born in 1960. He is known as the frontman and guitarist for The Obsessed and Saint Vitus, and he is also associated with Spirit Caravan, The Hidden Hand, Place of Skulls, Shrinebuilder and Bullring Brummies.

Career

Wino appears as a metal band under Weinrich’s name and releases material in the doom metal style. The project issues the album Punctuated Equilibrium in 2009. After a European tour in April, bassist Jon Blank dies of an overdose. A follow-up release, Adrift, appears in 2010, along with a live recording of the Roadburn 2009 performance.
