Wideboys

Wideboys are a UK dance group made up of Eddie Craig and Jim Sullivan. They have worked together since 1996 and are based in the United Kingdom. Their sound spans dance, electro, electronica, house, miami bass and UK garage.

Background

Craig runs the record shop VIP Vinyl in Chichester, where the pair meet. He also DJs and has done so for around 12 years. The group release material on their own label, Garage Jams, and also use aliases including Atari Era and Medieval Hooligans.

Chart work and collaborations

Sullivan is associated with chart successes including revamps of Frankie Goes to Hollywood tracks: Power of Love reaches number 6 and Two Tribes reaches number 15. Wideboys also work with acts such as All Saints and Artful Dodger. Their remixes include material for Rihanna, Jody Watley, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.

Later profile

In 2007, the group broaden their commercial reach with new management and the single Bomb the Secret. They remain active and continue to be associated with UK garage and related electronic styles.
