White Hills are a psychedelic rock group from New York, United States, active since 2005. The band centres on Dave W and Ego Sensation, who are the only constant members and are listed as the group’s members. Dave W plays guitar and provides vocals, while Ego Sensation plays bass, drums and vocals.

Style and sound

The band’s music is associated with psychedelic rock, space rock, drone, heavy psych, jam band, and neo-psychedelia. Their sound also draws on krautrock, post-punk, art rock, goth, metal, stoner rock, ambient, and experimental music. Their work is described as balancing heaviness with a more ethereal quality, and they are often compared with Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, MC5, and Spiritualized.
