Weedpecker

Weedpecker is a band from Warsaw, Poland, formed in 2012. The group begins with the Dobry brothers, Wyro and Bandos, who bring together psychedelic rock and stoner-influenced heavy riffing. Pan Falon joins as drummer; he also plays with Belzebong. After the summer of 2012, the line-up is completed by Spanish bassist Jeso, who has previously played in Looking For An Answer and Antigama.

Recording and releases

The band records its first self-titled album in April 2013. It then promotes the record while supporting bands including Elder, Naam and Mars Red Sky. In 2014, Jeso is replaced by Mroku, and Weedpecker begins writing material for a second full-length album. That album, II, is recorded in February 2015 at Satanic Audio.

Style

Their sound is rooted in psychedelic rock and stoner metal, with elements of grunge, heavy psych and progressive rock.
