We Happy Few
We Happy Few are a four-piece band from West London. They play blues-tinged folk rock and use double bass, piano, guitar, vocals, ukulele, accordion and occasional banjo.
The group is known for a planned 12-song concept album, set in 19th-century America and titled The Trials and Tribulations of Billy ‘the black jack’ Donahue. The songs form a fictional story involving love, money and murder, with a central character whose love of gold and relationship with an outlaw partner are part of the narrative.
They also release an early EP.
