Wargasm

Wargasm is a thrash metal band from Boston, United States, active from 1985 to 1995, with members Bob Mayo, Barry Spillberg and Rich Spillberg. The group is associated with the Stoughton, Massachusetts thrash scene and releases material under the Wargasm name include a series of demos, singles, EPs and albums from the 1980s and 1990s.

Early releases

In 1986, Wargasm issues the demos Satan Stole My Lunch Money and Rainbows, Kittens, Flowers And Puppies. Their debut album, Why Play Around?, follows in 1988 and appears on Profile Records. The band then releases the demo set Your Dogs Teeth in 1990 and the single track Spirit In Decay later that year, recorded at Kashmir Studios in Tewksbury, Massachusetts and engineered by Bruce Bennett.

Later recordings and activity

Wargasm continues with Gasm It in 1991, then signs to the German label Massacre for the 1993 EP Fireball and the 1994 album Ugly. The band follows this with Suicide Notes in 1995, after which it ends. Its final show before that split takes place at Boston's Rat Club on 11 February 1995.

Reunion and associated activity

After the initial split, Wargasm issues the seasonal single Little Drummer Boy / Jingle Hell via Transmission Records in 2000. The band later reunites for a performance at the Middle East in Cambridge, Massachusetts on 18 September 2004. Former drummer Barry Spillberg also joins the reconvened Meliah Rage in 2003.
