Viva Brother
Viva Brother are a rock band from Slough, United Kingdom. The group forms in 2009 and is active under the name Viva Brother after starting out as Brother and using earlier names including Kill the Arcade and Wolf Am I. The line-up consists of Lee Newell, Sam Jackson and Frank Colluci.
Background and name changes
The band goes through several name changes before settling on Brother in late 2010. In June 2011, it changes its name to Viva Brother after legal action from another band called Brother. The group is associated with the gritpop tag and is also described as an English pop-rock band.
Record deal and releases
Viva Brother signs to Geffen Records in October 2010 and to EMI Publishing in November 2010. Its debut album, Famous First Words, is released in 2011. The album's first single, Darling Buds of May, receives airplay on alternative rock radio stations in the United States.
