Virus

Virus is an Argentine new wave pop group from La Plata, active from 1980 to the present. The band is associated with ballad, new wave and rock, and is also described as an electro-pop and new wave act. It becomes one of the most influential Spanish-language bands and is considered a pioneer of modern pop music in Latin America.

History and style

The group is led by Federico Moura until his death in 1988. Its line-up includes Federico Moura, Mario Serra, Marcelo Moura, Enrique Mugetti, Julio Moura, Daniel Sbarra and Roberto Jacoby. Virus develops a sound rooted in new wave and pop, with a prominent place in Argentine and wider Latin American popular music.
