Viatrophy

Viatrophy is a deathcore band from Reading, England, in the United Kingdom. Formed in 2005 by former members of Sylosis, The Seventh Cross, Traces and The Deepest Abyss, the group develops a sound that combines deathcore with melodic, metalcore and technical death metal elements. It is part of the Reading and wider Berkshire metal scene, alongside bands such as Exit Ten, Sylosis and Malefice.

Releases and style

The band signs to Siege of Amida Records, a London-based label, and releases its debut EP, Chronicles, in 2007. Its music is described through rapid, aggressive guitars, heavy drumming and harsh vocals with contrasting growls.

Live activity

Viatrophy builds a reputation for intense live performances and tours with acts including Job for a Cowboy, Necrophagist, Caliban, Parkway Drive, Bleeding Through, Abigail Williams and The Red Shore. The band splits up in early 2010, then reunites in early 2011 to headline a festival in India. ATTLAES is the listed member.
