Velvet Stream

Velvet Stream are a female-led alternative pop and rock group from Taiwan, active since 1993. The band’s line-up includes vocalist Mati, guitarist Isaac Lee Kronick, producer and keyboardist Freddy de Lord, drummer Anthony Elroy Lewis, and bassist Dan Holloway.

Their music combines contemporary pop and rock with older influences, including Patti Smith, Lene Lovich, Talking Heads, The Beach Boys and Roy Orbison. The group is described as making uplifting, vibrant songs with a fusion of these styles.

The band is linked to the same school that has also produced artists such as Michael Kiwanuka and Let’s Wrestle.
