Unfathomable Ruination

Unfathomable Ruination is a death metal group from London, United Kingdom. The band forms in 2010 and plays a severe, technical strain of brutal death metal, with influences drawn from Suffocation, Origin, Death, Internal Suffering and Disgorge (US). Its line-up includes Federico Benini, Mallika Sundaramurthy and Inebrious Incarnate.

Early releases and label work

After a few practice sessions, the band begins writing material and records a self-titled EP. American label Sevared Records distributes the release, and the EP helps establish the group as one of the more notable death metal acts in the UK, bringing attention from publications including Terrorizer and Sick Drummer Magazine, as well as various other print and online metal outlets.

Following the EP’s sales and visibility, Sevared Records signs the band for an album release. In spring 2012, Unfathomable Ruination enters 16th Cellar Studios to record its debut album, Misshapen Congenital Entropy, with producer Stefano Morabito, who is associated with work for Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance, Vomit the Soul, Inherit Disease and Blasphemer. The album is released in 2012.
