Ultrabeat

Ultrabeat are a UK dance act from Liverpool, active from 2002 to the present. The group comprises Mike Di Scala, Chris Henry and Ian Redman. Their music is generally classed as commercial dance, and their earlier recordings are described as commercial UK vocal trance. They primarily produce dance, house and happy hardcore music, with their output also associated with electronic and trance.

Career and releases

Ultrabeat release their work through All Around The World. They are best known for the 2003 single Pretty Green Eyes, which becomes their most famous track. Their recordings receive strong support from Scouse House and Radio City 96.7 DJ Lee Butler, who helps bring them wider attention and plays a role in their rise. He also plays their cover version of I’m Not in Love within hours of it being recorded.

Their debut album, Ultrabeat - The Album, is released in 2007 and includes all of their previously released singles. The album reaches number 8 in the UK album chart. A later single, Discolights, is a collaboration with UK hardcore producer and singer Darren Styles and is issued on the AATW label.
