TWR72

TWR72 is an Amsterdam-based techno duo. The two artists share a long-standing interest in music that begins in their early teens, and they continue as a collaborative pair with a sound built around rhythm, drive and a strong groove.

Style and output

Their music sits within techno, with connections to house, electro, electronic music and tech house. Their approach is focused on forward-moving, stripped-back production, combining pulsing rhythm, a cutting edge and a lean, tough sound aimed at the dance floor.

Career

TWR72 first gain attention in 2010 through a run of productions that help set a standard for younger producers in the scene. In 2013 they sign with Turbo Recordings, where they release a series of techno EPs. They also release Endless, a locked-groove project built from 72 loops, and work with Los Angeles producer Truncate. In 2014 they contribute remixes for a number of key artists.

Label

The duo also founds Float Records in 2014 as their own imprint, and later their releases appear on their self-titled label, TWR72.
