Trust

Trust is a French hard rock group from Paris, formed in 1977. It remains active and is identified with classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, metal and rock. The band is fronted by Bernard Bonvoisin, with Norbert Krief, also known as Nono, as a key member. Other members associated with the group include Yves Brusco, Hervé Koster, Kevin Morris, Clive Burr and Nicko McBrain.

History and membership

The band forms in 1977 and becomes part of the French hard rock scene of the 1970s and 1980s. It later disbands in 1984, then reforms for occasional one-off shows and becomes more steadily active from 1996. Its line-up includes Bonvoisin and Krief at formation, with later associations including former Iron Maiden drummers Clive Burr and Nicko McBrain.

Notable songs and associations

Trust is best known for the song "Antisocial", which Anthrax covers on State of Euphoria. Anthrax also covers "Les sectes" under the title "Sects", which appears on Attack of the Killer B's. Bon Scott of AC/DC records a cover of "Ride On" with the band, and this is his last recorded song.

Style and influence

The group is often linked loosely with NWOBHM because of the presence of Clive Burr and Nicko McBrain, both of whom also play with Iron Maiden. Its catalogue and reputation place it within French hard rock and heavier rock traditions.
