The act is founded in 2004 and is described as a collective built around sound system culture. It brings together selectors, vocalists and MCs, and presents reggae as a form of self-expression and protest rooted in Jamaican independence.

Releases and performances

Trojan Sound System releases the Africa - Remixes EP, which includes re-dubs from Toddla T, JFB and Darkstarr Diskotek. It also presents live and Dex N FX shows across Europe and performs internationally. The collective also puts together the mix Deep Culture Roots, built around soulful vocals, studio effects, rapid-fire toasting and heavy bass.
