Tristan Seume is a fingerstyle acoustic guitarist from the South East of England. He works as a soloist, accompanist, writer and session musician, and is described as one of the UK’s leading acoustic guitarists.

Style and repertoire

His playing is strongly influenced by folk, jazz and country music. As a recording artist, he releases instrumental material that combines original compositions, traditional tunes and selected cover versions.

Recordings

Seume has released two solo instrumental albums, You Just Know and Middle Child.

Collaborations and live work

He plays guitar and bouzouki in the band of singer Jackie Oates, who is a multiple BBC folk award winner. With Oates, he appears at arts centres and festivals across Europe.

Writing and teaching

For many years, Seume contributes to the guitar magazines Guitarist and Guitar Techniques. He also lectures at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, Surrey, and at the International Guitar Festival in Bath.
