Trespass

Trespass are a heavy metal group from Sudbury, United Kingdom, associated with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. The band forms in 1978 and remains active.

Original period and releases

During their original run, Trespass release three singles: One of These Days and Live It Up/Jealousy in 1980, followed by the Bright Lights EP in 1981. They also appear on the compilations Metal for Muthas Volume II: Cut Loud and Metal Explosion. They record demos before splitting up.

Compilations and later releases

In 1992, a compilation of single tracks and unreleased demos, The Works, is issued. A year later the band releases a studio album titled Head. Another The Works compilation appears in 2000. In 2004, Sanctuary releases a two-disc, 36-track anthology, One of These Days: The Trespass Anthology, named after what becomes the group’s best-known song.

Notable song

One of These Days is the song most closely associated with Trespass and is regarded as a classic of the NWOBHM era.

The group includes Danny Biggin and Steve “Sleeve” Mills.
