Toya Delazy

Toya Delazy, also known as Latoya, is a British-South African singer-songwriter, producer, pianist and composer from KwaZulu-Natal. Her work is rooted in jazz, and she develops a style that combines pop, jazz and classical music.

Early training

She begins classical piano lessons at the age of nine. From 2008, she studies jazz piano at a local university, which shapes her later sound and performance style.

Recording career

Her first single is Pump It On!, which debuts on South African radio station 5FM and becomes a summer hit. She then follows it with Love Is In the Air, which brings her chart success.
